FRLA is committed to strengthening Florida's hospitality industry through advocacy, defending the industry and advancing our priorities at the Capitol.

What we're fighting for

2027 Legislative Agenda

FRLA's focus heading into the 2027 session.

Tipped Wage Verification

Clarify the application of the tipped wage in Florida Statute.

Joint Employer

Adopt clear standards to determine who is the employer within a franchise relationship.

Streamline Massage Establishment Regulation

Maintain current requirements and safety provisions while removing unnecessary obstacles and preventing excessive consequences.

Tourist Development Tax

Preserve TDT revenues for the promotion and marketing of tourism.

VISIT FLORIDA

Fully fund Florida's effective marketing entity; remove the sunset provision to facilitate long-term strategy and success.

Affordable Housing

Fund the Sadowski Trust Fund and adopt policy initiatives that encourage and support increases in affordable housing development and affordable long-term rental housing.

Hemp Beverages

If the legislature makes these beverages lawful, expand and adapt the existing licensure and regulatory system for alcohol to include these intoxicating beverages.

Tort Reform

Advocate for balance and fairness in Florida's civil justice system.
