Welcome to the Miami-Dade chapter of FRLA

The Miami Dade Chapter has been working very hard this past year to bring new meetings and events that are of interest and benefit to our local hospital industry!
We began meeting with leadership last year to revitalize our chapter and have successfully built our Board of Directors to 19 industry leaders thus far. We have 7 vacancies still available and invite you to contact me or our Regional Director Lynne Hernandez if you are interested in being considered for a Board of Director position.
We held a very successful breakfast meeting at the Biltmore Hotel for our Lodging partners with Joe McInernary, President of the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
We have addressed topics of concern to our members by recruiting outstanding and powerful speakers that lent their expertise and resources to our standing room only membership meeting in October. We hosted such speakers as Carol Dover FRLA’s President and CEO, Robert Steele, Chairman of the American Hotel and Lodging Association and Dick Rivera, Chairman of the National Restaurant Association and Nicki Grossman, this year’s Chair for Visit Florida! Additionally, all of FRLA’s Vice President’s were in attendance to lend their expertise and answer questions from members.
Our chapter’s primary focus of vital importance is to grow FRLA’s presence in the Miami-Dade area, serve as the political and informational resource base for all elements of the industry in the area, while also providing quarterly informational and purposeful chapter meetings.
We look forward to working together with you to improve upon our achievements and solid foundation, we are looking for Board Directors, Committee members and volunteers to lend their expertise and enjoy the camaraderie that is shared in our chapter. We have discovered that while we are powerful as one, our strength and impact is immeasurable together!
