Florida Minimum Wage will Increase to $7.25 per hour on July 24, 2009
In deciding whether the federal or state minimum wage applies to your business, federal law directs that businesses must pay the higher of the two. The Florida minimum wage of $7.21 per hour will increase to $7.25 on July 24, 2009.  Also, the Federal Government recently released the NEW Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) poster based on revisions finalized in November. Magazine Submissions Needed for Outstanding Bartenders
Florida Restaurant & Lodging Magazine is seeking submissions for featured bartenders to highlight in the Mix Masters section of the upcoming 'beverage' issue. 
Submissions should include a high resolution photo, brief bio of the outstanding bartender and the recipe for a signature cocktail.  Only bartenders employed by FRLA members will be featured.  Please forward bartender and other beverage-related content submissions to Camron at cbecker@frla.org
